After not being able to do much last summer, your kids may have a chance to get out and enjoy the outdoors this summer right here in NEPA. 2021 is a big year for opportunities not available last year, so be sure to take advantage of them if you can! As always, we welcome you to come to visit Performance Kia in Moosic, Pennsylvania for all of your vehicular needs.

Local YMCA Summer Camps

To start off, traditional outdoors summer camps are available through local YMCAs, including the following:

Berwick YMCA

231 West Third Street, Berwick, PA 18603
(570) 752-5981

Greater Pittston YMCA

10 N. Main Street, Pittston, PA 18640
(570) 655-2255

Bloomsburg Area YMCA

30 East 7th Street, Bloomsburg, PA 17815
(570) 784-0188

Greater Scranton YMCA

706 North Blakely Street, Dunmore, PA 18512
(570) 342-8115

Hopefully one of these YMCA locations is close enough to where you live. If not, there are other options not associated with the YMCA:

Boys and Girls Clubs of NEPA

609 Ash Street, Scranton, PA 18510
(570) 342-8709

Building Blocks Summer Camp — Wilkes-Barre

1082 Route 315, Plaza 315, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18705
(570) 970-8511

Catholic Youth Center (Wyoming Valley CYC)

36 South Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702
(570) 823-6121

Northampton Community College (Monroe Campus) – Horizons for Youth

2411 PA 715, Tannersville, PA 18372
(570) 369-1881

Depending on your children’s ages, some of these camp programs might be more or less a good fit. It is worth doing further research and talking with your kids to find out what kind of experiences they would like to have through summer camp. There are plenty more options out there, including online summer camps for those still concerned about or affected by the COVID-19 virus.
